My first game @ Wira Games and Hobbies

The wargaming scene is now centered upon Wira Games and Hobbies at SS17, Subang Jaya. Prior to this post it is only my second time visiting them and I can tell you that is still the best place around Klang Valley region for war gaming might I say. This trip down to town had pitted my against 2 battles back to back. First against Necrons and secondly against the combined might of Chaos and Fallen Dark Angels, but I shall only cover the battle against Necrons

Necrons led by Warlord Bill from Tomb World Subang is a starter in the scene that had kicked some butt in Wira so Herbert has decided to play against an experienced player. A 1750 points game has been commissioned then and the forces has been deployed as follows

Hull Lascannon and Sponson Heavy Bolter

Leman Russ Vanquisher with Knight Commander Pask

Aegis Defense Line with Quad Cannon

The dizzying amount of vehicles that is being deployed

Turn Highlights
Turn 1
- Vanquisher reduced the quantum shielding on Doomsday Ark, living metal ignored Stunned Result.
- Doomsday Ark responded by being rude to 2 guardsmen.
- Battle Cannon launched its first blast, not hitting anything.

Turn 2
- Hellhound unleashed the Inferno on Scarabs
- Wraiths under heavy fire
- Vanquisher lost one hull point from Doomsday Ark.

Turn 3
- Hellhound sprayed the Scarabs to Necron hell, Necron Warriors bring glancing hell to Hellhound, losing one hull point.
- Wriaths under fire from Chimera and Veteran with Meltas, Multi-Laser and Lasguns
- Monolith attempted a daring deepstrike behind Imperial Guard lines but scatters off. Monolith is instead being placed at the Necron lines instead, blocking line of sight of the Doomsday Ark to Knight Commander Pask.
- Annihilator Barge harassing Hellhound but Hellhound ignored to burn more Warriors.

Turn 4 (Night fighting starts)
- Deathmarks landed precisely in front of the IG gunline, attempt to knock the Company Commander but one shot off by Quad Cannon. No hurt was given to the Company Commander.
- The gunline responded with zounds of lasgun fire, wiping out every Deathmark.
- Immortals under heavy fire from Executioner's Plasma Cannon, rudeness responded with Particle Whip from Monolith.
- Hellhound did not send enough Warriors to Necron hell but instead being tamed by Warriors
- Chimera with Vets that wiped out the Wraiths got a beating from Immortals and wrecked.

IG gunline huddled behind the Aegis Defense Line with Deathmarks staying right outside

Turn 5
- Not much action left but some brutal shooting that does insignificant damage.
- IG won 6-4 against the Necrons with First Blood only. Necrons almost scored Linebreaker.

A point to note that the deployement is already in my favor to begin with so Bill just had to improvise on the situation which is the Monolith that did not worked out well enough for him. With more long range guns that him, I could land the first strike against his force. But Necrons are still a force to reckon with as they lethal in 24" and deadly within 12", not much pressure for me in this game but if it is Dawn of War deployment will be a lot of pressure to keep the Warriors away from me.
